DSLR, or digital SLR cameras are extremely popular and are well on their way to becoming a household staple. These cameras allow you to take some pretty nice photographs right out of the box, but there are ways for you to really up your game. The key to taking amazing photos lies within your camera?s manual mode, and that?s what this class is all about.?After completing this class, the exciting world of digital photography opens up to you and the opportunities are endless. Whether you want to capture great photos of your children, take better product photos for your business or perhaps you have big dreams, like having your photos featured in National Geographic or a career in Wedding Photography, it all starts here.

What to Expect?

All of the CPLC instructors are experienced professional photographers, who bring an exciting mix of resumes, from travel photography hobbyists to award winning wedding photographers! We start our DSLR classes in full manual mode, and stay in manual mode until the last day, when we explore the various auto-exposure modes. ?The understanding of photographic and camera techniques rely heavily on an understanding of manual mode ?? the most important things?to know in order to start taking great pictures. You will have hours of experience with settings, and how they effect the finished result; and you will get comfortable with all the DSLR features, in a classroom of people like you, and with the direct, hands-on support of a genuine expert. Our classes are small, less than 14 students, and with every concept learned you’ll have the opportunity to practice on your camera with direct one-to-one access with your instructor, who will make sure you don’t get left behind!

This class provides you with a step by step tour of your camera. Once a new concept is taught, you immediately put it into practice on your own camera, and?we’ll be?there to help you along the way.?

DSLR Photography Classes in Edmonton and Calgary

“I took the “Using Your DSLR Camera” course and it was fantastic! My camera has been collecting dust on the bottom shelf of our office for a year because I was so frustrated when my pictures weren’t turning out how I wanted them to. Our instructor, who was an accomplished photographer, provided us with in depth information on our cameras and how to get proper exposure in the final picture (all shooting in manual mode). Anyone that owns a DSLR needs to take this course! I’m very excited to put my new knowledge to good use and will never put my camera on automatic mode again! I will definitely be taking another course through the CPLC.”
